Russell Gimelstob is a driven and successful real estate agent and investor. He is Head of Acquisitions at Dune Real Estate Partners as well as a Partner, Managing Director and Member of the Investment Committee. Russell has been with Dune for 14 years, and before that, he was with Goldman Sachs, where he was an analyst and also traded commercial securities. During his time at Dune, Russell has taken on many projects including executing complex real estate transactions and investing in many assets around the country.
Gimelstob’s knowledge traverses all of real estate’s facets. He has worked on projects from acquisition to entitlement and from management to disposition.
Russell believes in giving back. He is active with several philanthropic endeavors including The Valerie Fund and the Hebrew Academy for Special Children. He also serves as a member of the Fisher Center Policy Advisory Board at the University of California Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
Russell Gimelstob’s drive for excellence was evident at a young age. He excelled at all sports, and when he picked up a tennis racquet at age six, he was a natural. He continued playing tennis in high school and achieved great success. He was inducted into his high school’s hall of fame for his own achievements, as well as for leading his team to three consecutive state championships. Russell turned his high school success into recruitment opportunities at multiple colleges, eventually choosing Cornell so that he could make education a priority. Russell graduated from Cornell, earning a B.A. in 2001 and an M.P.A. in 2002.
