Igor Cornelsen is a Brazilian based investment advisor and analyst. Mr. Cornelsen was born in Curitiba, Brazil on October 4, 1947. He has well over 30 years professional experience in the banking, investment and finance industry. Mr. Cornelsen is known for working to solve economic issues in the banking industry as well as creating better business capabilities for clients looking to grown their wealth.
Igor Cornelsen attended the The Federal University of Panera, studying engineering and then economics. He graduated in 1970 and then started his investment banking career. He quickly proved himself an asset to the firm, and climbed the corporate ladder to become CEO of Multibanco by 1976.
Just two years after starting with Multibanco, Multibanco was acquired by another bank, Bank of America. This acquisition forced Mr. Cornelsen to move to another company, Unibanco, which at the time, was one of the top investment firms in Brazil. Mr. Cornelsen worked for Unibanco until 1985 at which time he moved on to work with Libra Bank PLC. Libra Bank PLC was a London-based merchant bank. This move helped him to grow further in his field, and he then moved on to work with Standard Chartered Merchant Bank. There he became a board member and representative in Brazil.
In 1995, Mr. Cornelsen make his biggest career move and left to create his own investment firm using all the skills and techniques that he honed during his years working for others.
Mr Cornelsen continues to be a hands on businessman to this day. He stays abreast of the current international and political news, and remains up to date with the study of multiple economies,business, and investments.
